Wednesday, March 25:
Sacred Path at Florida International University (FIU)
On Wednesday, March 25, we celebrated the “Sacred Path” at FIU in honor of Women’s History Month. Vasanti dasi shared her beautiful 25-year journey of bhakti-yoga (the yoga of love and devotion), showing how we are all divine miracles. Our host, Tanvi dasi, asked many helpful questions about how to grow spiritually and move toward higher ground in our consciousness. You can watch the full discussion here: The Sacred Path of Bhakti.

Kirtan at UM
On Thursday, March 26, students at UM invited us to lead kirtan (congregational chanting) on the main lawn to celebrate Rama Navami (the appearance day of Lord Ramacandra). It was a glorious day to remember the pastimes of the Lord and share in the Holy Names together. All the students who joined us received spiritual books and ekadasi (special fasting day) friendly sweets as a gesture of our inclusive community.
Rama Navami at SVA
Also on Thursday, Srimati Syamarani dasi gave a moving retelling of the Ramayana (the history of Lord Rama) at the SVA center. She shared these ancient histories as she heard them from our acaryas (spiritual teachers), Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja and Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Temple residents Haridas and Gadagraja prabhus also shared stories from these sacred histories. Internationally revered peace activist, Fantuzzi, closed the night with a riveting kirtan.

Jain Yoga and Meditation Festival
On Friday, March 27, our devotees lead the closing kirtan (sacred chanting) for the Jain Yoga and Meditation festival at FIU. This enlivening end to the program helped everyone feel the presence of love and goodness that is available to us all. We were also happy to serve prasadam (sanctified food) mango lassi to all the festival attendees to celebrate our shared humanity.
Saturday, March 28
Sri Sita Rama Kalyana Mahotsavam
On Saturday, March 28, we traveled to Kendall for a beautiful ceremony in honor of Sri Sri Sita Rama. The devotees sang bhajans (devotional songs) and engaged the whole audience in the mahamantra (the great chant for deliverance) to build bridges of friendship. We shared books, art, and ekadasi prasadam (spiritual food) to remind everyone that we are all part and parcel of the Divine.
Kirtan and Tea at Miami Life Center
Nikunja Vilasi prabhu led an intimate kirtan session at the Miami Life Center on Saturday for the second month in a row. After chanting the Holy Names, the group enjoyed a peaceful time with ekadasi friendly tea. Attendees also received books by our spiritual teachers and beautiful art prints to help them find an entry to their soul.
Ecstatic Chants at Casa Mannabliss
Saturday continued with an “Ecstatic Chants” event where Janardana prabhu and Hladini Shakti didi led a very happy group. Everyone joined in the ecstatic chanting and dancing, feeling the joy and grace that comes from the Lord’s mercy. It was a wonderful way to look beyond our labels and experience the harmony that is seeking to be expressed within us.
Books and Art at Churchill’s Pub
Tanvi didi invited the devotees to her band’s show at Churchill’s Pub on Saturday to distribute transcendental books and art. Many people were happy to receive books like the Bhagavad-gita (a sacred song of God), proving that there is goodness and wisdom in all places. One gentleman was so inspired by the book that he even came to the temple the next day to meet Syamarani Didi and learn more!
Sunday, March 29:
Harinam in the Design District
On Sunday, March 29, a group of brave devotees brought the yuga-dharma (the spiritual practice for this age) to the Design District despite the rain. We shared the bliss of the Holy Names with everyone we met, seeing the light and divinity in every person we encountered. It was a perfect way to end the week by offering healing and peace to our community.
Want us to bring kirtan, talks, or prasadam to your home? Reach out to Vasanti at +1 (347) 727-8692.
All of our services are completely donation-based. We are happy to share this outpouring of the heart for no set price.
