The Best Moments From September 2024

Under the shelter of Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja

Welcome to the SVA Family!

Hare Krishna. Welcome to the September edition of the SVA Newsletter. We’re excited to share with you this month’s top highlights, deepest meditations, and most exciting events.

To our dearest friends.

A warm thank you to all of you, for making SVA what it is. Without your love and support, SVA wouldn’t be. We express our gratitude for your coming forward to serve, distribute, chant, and be, and for letting us serve you.

Friday Night Kirtan

This is what we do every Friday at 6:30pm

Come home to your heart, body, and spirit through the timeless practice of Kirtan, music, dance, and mantra meditation. This practice, the essence of Yoga, is simple and divine, and requires nothing more than coming as you are. A delicious vegan and vegetarian prasadam (mercy) meal is served at the end, and is always free and open to all.

Ecstatic Friday Night Kirtan

Sunday Love Feast

Every Sunday at 11am

Every Sunday we gather at SVA to share the love of Bhakti through Hari-katha (spiritual discourse), Kirtan, and a vegetarian and vegan prasadam lunch feast. This month we had the privilege to continue hearing from our resident spiritual teachers and special guests.

Also, if you come on your birthday, you get ceremonial birthday blessings, especially if you let us know in advance.

Observing the Days of these Great Saints & Incarnations

September 3rd was the Appearance day of Srila Gaura Govinda Goswami Maharaja

September 8th was the Appearance day of Sita Thakurani

September 10th was the Appearance day of Lalita Sakhi

September 15th was the Appearance day of Lord Vamana Deva and Srila Jiva Goswami

September 16th was the Appearance day of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, and Disappearance day of Srila Haridas Thakura and Sri Srimad Bhakti Vijnana Bharati Goswami Maharaja

We observe these days with glorifications by learned speakers, by special kirtans in their glory, and by watching their own videos and experiencing their glories.

The following speakers glorified them with beautiful discourses. We also performed guru puja and worshiped them and their disciplic succession.
